Grateful Parents

My mother once confessed she had never wanted to have children—a bittersweet truth that convinced me parenthood was merely a burdensome obligation. I don’t blame her, or any parent who feels that way; raising children is, after all, exhausting, never-ending, expensive, and self-sacrificing. However, this mindset changed completely when I met HJ, who showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. I dedicate The Vault to the parents who gratefully embrace the gift of family.
